Jakarta City Council's Commission B Legislator, Ismail appreciates the ramp check of inter-province buses held by Jakarta Transportation Agency.
The ramp check aims increasing service and ensuring passenger safety during Christmas and New Year holidays. Personnel check various aspects of the vehicle, from the engine, brakes, tires, to the completeness of the documents. Personnel also ensure the bus driver health.
"We support the effort conducted by the agency. It is a routine activity since there is also homecoming season during Christmas and New Year that also increases the transportation activity," he said, Wednesday (12/25).
He added that the ramp check is already held routinely by Jakarta Provincial Government to minimize accident cases during the holiday.
"Checking all bus units is good," he added.
Ismail hopes the passenger will be more safe and comfort to use public transportation for holiday trip.
"I appeal all side to create safe and smooth condition together," he continued.
Ismail also appeals society to use public transportation, especially bus, for their homecoming or holiday trips.
"Apart from being more economical, the traffic congestion during the end of year holidays can be reduced and the accidents potential can be minimized," he stated.
